I cannot express how happy I have been with my experience at Nancy Wallace Pilates. I started coming to Nancy Wallace Pilates in the winter of 2009 in preparation for a climb of Mt. Rainier. I had been having back issues and felt that the core strengthening exercises that Pilates demands would help me. I was lucky to connect with the owner, Nancy Wallace, who not only helped me overcome my back issues, but introduced me to a whole new form of exercise and conditioning. Having been involved in competitive athletics my entire life, my workouts have always been a way to not only stay in condition but also to push myself and compete with myself. Pilates, especially the way it is practiced at Nancy Wallace Pilates, is the perfect discipline for any athlete who wants to take their strength, conditioning, and flexibility to the next level.
I have been a walking and running coach for over 10 years and am always interested in trying new exercise programs that may enhance my running and my clients running. I’m new to Pilates. I’ve done yoga on and off over the past few years. I decided to give Pilates a try after a number of people suggested it as a way to manage the back issues (herniated L5/S1) I’ve dealt with over the past 5 years. I found Nancy Wallace Pilates of Bellevue on Yelp and read the reviews. I visited the studio and liked the laid back atmosphere (i.e. there was no hard sell on signing up or buying a package); I also liked the staff’s obvious commitment and passion around Pilates. I decided to give it a try and have been doing Pilates at Nancy Wallace Pilates of Bellevue 2x/week for the past month. I absolutely love it! The brochure from the studio says that within 10 sessions: feel the difference, better posture, increased strength, feel more flexible, development a true understanding of the mind-body connection. I’ve experienced all of that. I attribute this partly to Pilates and but mostly to the great instruction that I’m receiving at Nancy Wallace Pilates of Bellevue. Any Pilates instructor can take you through a Pilates routine/workout – however, at Nancy Wallace Pilates of Bellevue I found that they really work to customize the workout around me and my needs. In addition, they’ve worked with me on my back issues to ensure that I don’t re-injure my back. I’ve worked with Kim, Raquel and Nancy – they’ve all been amazing! In addition to the amazing staff, the studio is conveniently located and has lots of parking. I’m a huge fan of Nancy Wallace Pilates.
I have been taking Pilates for six years in Seattle. When my instructor quit having a baby, I decided to move to the Eastside closer to my home. The first place I tried was Nancy Wallace Pilates. It is great! The studio is comfortable, the equipment top-notch, and the instructors knowledgeable, focused, and interested in getting you where you want to be. These girls have really challenged me to “kick it up a notch” and the results in just a few weeks are outstanding. For those of you wanting a new Pilates challenge or just wanting to try it out for the first time, I recommend Nancy Wallace Pilates. At age 65, I can say without hesitation, Pilates has been the best exercise I have ever done!
Wonderful Studio, Amazing Results. I’ve been doing Pilates on and off for almost 3 years now, but Nancy Wallace Pilates helped me get SERIOUS about it! I went from going once every couple of weeks to three times a week, and I’m addicted! The instructors are knowledgeable and make you feel comfortable. They help you figure out your trouble spots and make you power through exercises you didn’t think you could. You don’t get away with ANYTHING, and that’s a good thing!
I was impressed with these instructors as I had tendinitis knees and a tear in my shoulder. I wasn’t sure I was a candidate for this regime. They assured me that they could work around my issues and in 6 months the problems ceased I was skiing and playing golf better than ever. Now they have an incredible “stretch to win ” program that’s as good as a message.
The classes that I participated in at Nancy Wallace Pilates has increased my flexibility and taken my performance to another level.

There are two ways to enter the Nancy Wallace Pilates studio:
A) Entering from 102nd Ave
- Park in the University Bookstore parking garage
- Go upstairs to the bookstore
- Our studio entrance in the back of building near the restroom sign, through the double doors
- If you are having difficulty locating us, please call, or ask the friendly employees of the bookstore, they know exactly where to find us. 🙂
B) Entering from NE 10th Street
- Park in the above ground lot behind the bookstore, our parking spots are marked ‘UBS’
- On the south side of the building, you will see the green Nancy Wallace Pilates awning over a doorway.
- Call us for the code to the door to gain access to the studio!
